Santa!!!

Thanks to Shays work we were able to go see Santa and his Reindeer this last weekend and do some activities at a little party!!! Jakelle and Kelsie loved every minute...they made a Christmas bracelet, wrote a letter to Santa and mailed it, colored some very nice pictures, and got to play in some little houses!!! Brylee cried the whole time in line, and Cierra ended up just walking around a little but always staying really close to mom or dad!! Once we got to Santa it was just chaotic!!! Jakelle didn't mind sitting with Santa and telling him what she wanted, Kelsie stood by him and told him what she wanted, the babies on the other hand screamed once they were put down!! Gotta love the picture!! What memories!!!

November came and went so quickly...and I am horrible and didn't get many pictures, so this is what we've got!! We had a great Thanksgiving and are now excited for Christmas to come!!!

October 2011

Well now we really have picture overload we have had a busy but very fun Halloween month! From going to the Zoo, growing huge pumpkins (Scareface our pride and joy well daddys anyways), Gardner Village witches with our cousins, to picking out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, also painting pumpkins and carving them, to getting their faces painted at a festival, and then the big day came to Trick or Treat!!! It was a great month full of fun exciting things, we love the holidays!!!

The Little Mermaid Play!!!
So yes you are going to get picture overload but we had so much fun and the girls loved every minute of being at Tuacahn watching a play!! We had a girls trip at the end of September down to St. George and got to go see Ariel!!! It was an amazing play and needless to say we will be going again next year to see Aladdin!! Jakelle and Kelsie got to meet all the characters after, and as you will see Kelsie was a little afraid to take a picture with them, she just said Hi, but Jakelle was brave this time and talked to all of them...even Ursula!!!

We spent some time in St. George for the weekend visiting some friends and family as well, Grandma Sandy came down with Brylee and Cierra, so it was really fun GIRLS weekend!!

Kelsie First Day of Preschool!!!

She is the happiest girl!! She finally gets to go to school just like Jakelle!! She was so excited yesterday morning, and so happy to have her backpack and be a big girl!! She loved it so much she cried when I came to pick her up...she didn't want to come home!!! I am so glad Kelsie is finding herself and starting to develop her little personality!! She is so sweet and also with that very independent!! Thanks to the ladies in the neighborhood for making this possible for Kelsie right now!! We are excited to be involved!!!

Our Kelsie Bug has grown up so much!! She is finally in a dance class and so excited to have her own special thing!!! She has done so well too...she doesn't even need mom to stay which shocked me completely with how attached she has been!!! She is the sweetest little girl and a very cute little dancer!!

St. George Trip in August!!! Little late with all this stuff, but we had a great time playing in St.george, we did a lot of swimming and then we hit up the carnival...the girls love the carnival and had a blast going on rides with Greydie!!! We spent sometime with my Grandparents as well and went on some nice walks and enjoyed some good times!!

Our summer has consisted of a bunch of outside play!!! The girls would live outside if we let them!!! We come outside almost every night after dinner and have a popcicle and play!!! They are such precious girls, I want to enjoy this time while I can!!

Our little Kindergartener!!

Can't believe my little baby is going to the Big Girl School!!!! She was so excited and has really loved going to school!! She is learning so much and trying so hard!!! She has finally stopped saying every morning ("Why do I have to go to school everyday"), I think she is finally starting to look forward to it everyday...just in time to go off track after next week!!! Oh the joys of tracks...get to start all over when we go back!! It has been really fun watching her grow and become a real big girl!!

Minnie Mouse Birthday Party!!!

So I am finally blogging about this and a whole bunch of other things the next couple days hopefully, but we had a fun time at Brylee and Cierra's 1st birthday party!! They were so cute and loved all the attention!! They enjoyed their cake...enough to wear it all over and require a bath to join the rest of us again!! I can't believe they are 1 already, well a little over now!! Time is going to fast...I hope we can enjoy every moment to the fullest!!

In their new wagon....we love this...it has been the perfect present for our summer walks...they have a blast everytime!!

Brylee and Cierra turned 1 years old!!!

One year ago we were blessed with two little angels in our family!! We have had so much fun watching these two sweet girls grow into such different personalities!! They are so different it amazes me sometimes!! Their big sisters adore them and want to smother them every chance they get, only now they are big enough they will let them know if they don't want them too!! It is quite funny to watch them scream and push their big sisters away!! Life is so fun having 2 babies...well toddlers now, and a bit crazy sometimes...well all the time but we wouldn't trade any of it....how much better can life get!!!

So a bit about each of them quickly since it has been a while for an update!!

Brylee Boo!!

1. She is on the move....she has been walking a few steps here and there for a couple weeks and today (her birthday) she decided that it just might be best to walk...so she is trying it everywhere now!!

2. She is a complete mama's girl....she screams if anyone else looks at her and she doesn't get over it!!!
3. She has found a love for baby dolls...she love to carry a doll on her right shoulder while walking around or sitting!! (too cute!!)

4. She still loves her food...and wants to eat whenever anyone else is eating!!

5. She sleeps through the night and now with no binkies!!! YAY!!

6. She loves to swing and do anything really outside!!

Cierra Bug!!

1. She is our speedy crawler...man she is fast!!! She is almost wanting to take some steps but crawling is just easier and she doesn't fall and hit her poor sweet head!!

2. She is also a mama's girl but will warm up and play with some people!! I think daddy is becoming more of a favorite!!

3. She loves soft cuddly animals and soft blankets...she will go lay her head down on anything like that just for fun!!

4. She loves to eat...especially cereal and marshmallows!!

5. She sleeps throught the night as well...and with no binky!! YAY!!

6. She is also a lover of being outside!! Swinging is a favorite!!

I will have to update a bit more later...but just wanted to wish our sweet baby girls a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Love you Brylee!!! Love you Cierra!!

4th of July!!

We had a great 4th weekend!! We went to the Riverton Carnival, and watched the Riverton Fireworks!! The girls had so much fun...they are still talking about the rollercoasters!! They loved the fast dragon roller coaster (they had to do it twice)!! These girls are some adrenaline lovers....they were raising their hands and screaming...love it!! YAY!! Brylee and Cierra had a great time watching everyone and sucking on their suckers!! The fireworks were great and all the girls loved the big BOOMS!!! On the 4th we went to Grandma Fullmers for a BBQ and some fun fireworks!! Oh how we love the 4th.....so many fun things!!

Jakelle Wizards Birthday Party!!

Jakelle wanted to have a Wizards of Waverly Place party so we made that happen as best we could!! She had a great day starting out with opening her presents and helping get the cake done...and decorating for the party!! Then the party started and she could not wait because finally she could play in the water!! We played a few games, of course one with water balloons, water limbo, the kids raced down the slip n slide, and we popped some balloons all over the grass!! The games never quite turn out how I think they will but all that matter is that the kids have fun and that it is a special day right??!! Jakelle loved every minute of it and was so happy that everyone came!! Thanks to everyone for making her BIG 5th birthday a special one!! We love you so much Jakelle!!!

Jakelle is 5!!!

Five years ago Shay and I were blessed with the sweetest little girl!! Jakelle has been such a blessing to us!! She is so special in so many ways!! She has been so much fun to watch grow and learn, we have had a hard road, and she is beginning to understand things now!! Jakelle has a very strong personality, she is stubborn at times but I am glad that she voices what she thinks!! She is a great big sister, always wanting to help, she loves to be cuddled or held still (if someone is willing), she loves to read books, she loves the outdoors (I think she would live outside if we let her), she loves to watch movies (right now Superman is the best thing ever to her), she loves to play with her daddy and sisters, she loves to make funny faces, and she loves to tell long imaginative stories!! I think she may have a great chance in the acting area with the imagination she has, she does a lot of role playing around the house!! Well we love you Jakelle and hope you have a great birthday!! Love you!!

It's HOT OUTSIDE!!!

Yay Yay Yay.........it has finally been hot outside for a few days in a row!!! We broke out the sprinkler under the trampoline again, and Jakelle got an early Birthday present from Grandma Julie and Grandpa Ben (slip and slide), so we put it to good use!! Oh how we love outside!!

Happy Fathers Day Shay!! I know this is late getting on here, but I want to put it on here!! The girls have been obsessed with Superman lately, so we had a Superman themed Fathers day this year!! I kept asking the girls what they wanted to get daddy and all they could come up with was a superman shirt.....so mommy searched and found a good one!! Daddy got a Super Dad bag for his present and a Superman card (which plays the Superman theme, can't tell you how many times we have listened to that), and a few other things as well, but we had a great day with our Super Hero dad!!! Shay is a wonderful father and great husband!! Our girls get so excited when daddy gets home from work, because that means it is play time!! I am so greatful to have found such an amazing man!! He is the love of my life and I can't wait to see what else our life has in store!! He is my rock and everything else you could imagine!! I love you honey...thanks for being a great husband and father!!

Zoo Day!!

We had a great day at the zoo with all of the cousins!! Jakelle and Kelsie were so excited and happy to be there and with their cousins...nothing could be better!! We saw most of the animals and the fun Dinosaurs they have around!! It was a great zoo day, and thanks to everyone for coming!!

Moab Family Reunion!!

My family had a reunion down in Moab and we enjoyed every bit of it!! We hiked to Delicate Arch....we made it with all the kids, they did amazing!! They walked almost the whole way up...but were a bit exhausted on the way down!! It was beautiful though and had lots of fun hiking it!! Jakelle and Kelsie had a blast being able to swim and play with cousins, it is so nice to get time together as a family!! We played, roasted marshmallows and had a great time!! Moab is a beautiful place and we are so thankful for the family we have!! I wish we could get together more often!! All in all it was a great trip and nice to get reaquainted with family members!! Love you all and thanks Aunt Debbie for making it all happen and making it special!! Love ya!!

I think we would all live outside if we could, well maybe not Me but I love playing with the kids!! They girls have so much fun on the swings and slide!! They are in heaven with a park in their backyard (they call it that), and a trampoline!! Life is good at the Ballard home!!

Jakelle Preschool Graduation!!

Well on May 19, 2011 Jakelle Graduated from Preschool!!! I can't believe how big she is getting...she will be in Kindergarten before we know it!! She loved her Preschool and her favorite part was going to play/learn with Kehlden and her teacher Ms. Kaley!! She still names all of her dolls Kaley...it is too cute, she really left an impression on Jakelle!!

The theme was Rock Stars...which fits Jakelle perfect, she got to come out with her glasses and microphone like a real Rock Star!! She was too cute singing their songs, and she got a certificate for being "Most likely to be a Preschool teacher"....Ms. Kaley said because she was always wanting to help out in class!!

Jakelle had a great experience in Preschool and she can't wait to get to the BIG GIRL school!! She is way excited!!! Happy Graduation sweet girl!!

Trampoline!!

Yes we spoiled them this year, but we figured we wern't taking any vacations so why not use a little of that tax money to spoil the kiddos!! They have loved it and so has mom!! They go out and bounce around forever, and mom can get dishes done...it is fantastic!!! It is finally nice weather now that we can put the spinkler under the tramp more often, we got it the first part of May and they were out there jumping with their winter coats on, but all is well now....they are happiest outside!!!

Brylee and Cierra are 9 months old!!!

It is hard to believe that 9 months ago Brylee and Cierra were born....time goes by so fast!! They have been such a blessing to our family...and I was just thinking today that I wouldn't have it any other way, I can't imagine only having one baby...I truly love being a mom of twins!! They are so fun to watch, they are starting to play together now little bits at a time but it is a start!! They are doing things so differently and need to be treated so different, but it is so fun trying to keep up with all they are doing!! Brylee is our little chunk and Cierra is our skinny minnie, so different from when they were born!! They are all over the place...I thought our house was baby proofed pretty well but I have had a rude awakening, it is not even close!! It has been a great 9 months and I can't wait to watch them develop into cute little toddlers!!

Brylee Elizabeth

1. She is our speed crawler, she is everywhere in no time!!

2. She pulls herself up to just about anything and stands there for as long as it takes for someone to come help her down....she doesn't do it herself she just wimpers like she is stuck!!

3. She loves her food still....in fact she will crawl over to me everytime I am pumping and cry/stare at her milk even if she has just ate!! We call her the guardian of the milk!!

4. She has to be put to sleep in a dark quiet place and loves to be snuggled!!

5. She is a huge mamma girl now...she figured out what she needed to do so we would quit passing her off to people!!

6. She loves being tickled by daddy...she giggles till she can't anymore!!

7. Her favorite people are her sisters!! She can't get enough of them and has to be right there with them while they are playing barbies, house, or just watching a movie w/treats of her own of course!!

Cierra Rose

1. She is our army crawler and wow she is speedy!! She has just figured out the regular crawl but army is faster for her!!

2. She just figured out how to pull herself up to a few things that she can grip real well...she still needs a bit of help...but she is so happy once she is there and won't stop giggling at how proud she is to be standing!!

3. She loves eating time...the food is starting to stay down a bit better...she doesn't spit up as much!! She has to eat something if you are...it is only fair!!

4. She loves to go to sleep while you are moving around with some noise, and then she likes to be laid in her crib so she can lay on her belly to sleep!!

5. Still a mamma girl...getting a little better just depends on the circumstance!!

6. She also loves to play with daddy...but she has like this quiet laugh or giggle like she is holding it in...too cute!!

7. Her favorite people are also her sisters....she is also right there with them playing barbies, house (being their baby), or in the movie with her treats!!

Easter 2011!!

The Easter bunny visited our house this year...he hid the girls baskets and some fun eggs in our backyard!! The girls love finding their baskets and all the candy eggs in our yard, they all got spoiled this year!! We had dinner later that day with my family and the girls got to play till their hearts were almost content (they could play all night if you let them)!!

We made it down to St. George in April...it was nice to get away to some nice weather!! We got to visit most of our family down there, my Aunt Debbie had us over one day the girls got to play with my cousin Keli's kids and they absolutely loved it!! They keep asking to play with them everyday!! We went to the kite festival which was very nice and mom and dad got a sunburn, and the girls got their first snow cone of the year (way early for us)!! We visited my Aunt Dusty where the girls got to ride a pony!! Kelsie was not a fan so she mainly jumped on the tramp and swung on the tire swing, but we couldn't get Jakelle off of Gidget (pony name)!! She rode all by herself and walked her around...she had a blast!! The remaining time we spent time with my grandparents, the girls got to go on walks with grandpa, and we went to the park!! They loved just hanging out in their back yard!! When the kids went to bed, all us adults got a couple Hand and Foot games in which is always good for a laugh!! All in all is was a great trip, it went to fast, we never get to see everyone we would like to but next time we will!!

Oh how our girls love Chocolate!!

We made chocolate covered strawberries for our family home evening dessert!! Cierra and Brylee couldn't get enough of the chocolate, they had it everywhere, but it tasted so good!! Jakelle and Kelsie keep begging to do it again, so maybe we will plan that again....I love them as much as they do so I wouldn't mind!!

I have been contemplating on how to write this next post for about a week now!! I am not really good with words, and I can't put together what I am thinking in my head, so here it goes!!

Shays mother passed away March 30, and it was not expected, she passed away in her sleep. I can't imagine what Shay is feeling....this is something you expect to go through in 20-30 years or more!! It breaks my heart that she will miss so much of our kids lives!! But then I remember and am so thankful for the gospel and knowing what we know!! I know we will see her again, and that she will be watching from heaven all the many great things that all of her grandchildren will do/accomplish!! And I know that she will be so proud of everyone of them!! And now they have a very special Guardian Angel!! Tammy will be very missed, and I hope she knows how very much she is loved!!

Moab Half Marathon!!

On March 19 I ran my first half marathon....it was a great experience!! My mom and I went down with our friends Jenny and Brett on the 18th, it was an adventurous trip from the food, to the restaurant service, and the squealing heater in our hotel room!! All in all it was a fun time, glad I was able to finish, that was my goal!!

Kelsie's Tangled Birthday Party!!

We had so much fun with this party....Kelsie had been waiting for more than a week to finally have this party!! The day of her birthday we woke up and started preparing for her big day!! I think at first she was a little shocked that is was finally here and didn't quite know what to do, but as the day went on the excitment set in!! So mom and dad got the house ready for games/fun, and got her cake decorated!!! Kelsie loved decorating the cake/cupcakes cuz she got to help out mom!! The house was ready and it then came time for mom/dad/and sisters to give Kelsie her presents, and wow I think she opened all of them within 5 minutes, and I couldn't get her to crack a smile of excitment the whole time!! You could tell she was holding back!! She loved her presents and played for a bit till people started to arrive, and while we waited for everyone the kids colored some Tangled pictures!! Then once everyone got there we started with our games....we played Pin the Hair on Rapunzel's Tower, Musical Frying Pans, and Jump Rapunzels hair!! All of the kids got to decorate a lantern as well!! Kelsie had so much fun and in her shy little way you could tell she was beyond happy!! She then opened presents and once again I couldn't get that girl to smile, but she loves all her presents!! Of course then the great ending Cake/Popsicles, and more playing around of course!! It was a great party and the birthday girl loved every minute!!

When I put her to bed that night.....she said "Thank you for my party" in the sweetest little voice!! It was so cute and that is why I love doing this for my girls!! Happy #3 Kelsie!! Love you!!

Kelsie Ann is 3 years old!!!

Three years ago we brought home the sweetest little baby girl!! We have had so much fun with Kelsie and watching her grow into a little girl!! Our Kelsie Ann is so sensitive, caring, and loveable!! She brightens your day just to see her sweet little smile!! Kelsie is a big momma's girl, but she has a love for her daddy that just can't be put into words!! Kelsie loves to play with her princess dolls and will sit for hours and play!! She loves to take care of others, which means she is a great big sister!! She is our cuddler!! She has very tender feelings, and she is so precious!! She is very shy in big groups but is getting better as she gets older!! She loves playing with her big sister!! We love our little Kelsie Ann and can't wait to watch her grow into a little lady!! Love you so much Kelsie!! Happy Birthday!!

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

We have been celebrating since last night with green pancakes for dinner.....then our little green leprechaun friends visited our house!!! We had green milk with some yummy Lucky Charms to eat, green toilet water, green clovers all over, and a little green treasure at the end of our stairs!! Oh how we love these little green friends!! Jakelle and Kelsie even tried to look like one for a while!! It has been a great day so far!!

Brylee and Cierra are 7 months old!!! Can't believe how fast time has flown by and I was going to keep you all updated monthly on what they were doing but I guess it is the thought that counts...every few months is going to have to work!! They are doing really well...Brylee has passed Cierra up in the weight department by 1 pound!! Brylee is 12lbs and Cierra is 11lbs!! They are so cute together....even when they fight over the same toys or steal each others binkies!! They sleep in separate cribs now because they were waking each other up constantly! Now I will tell a bit about both of them because their personalities are so different, I can't explain them together!!

Brylee BOO.....yes she has this fun knickname!!

1. Brylee is our outgoing little girl!!

2. She is a very aggressive little one...when she wants something she goes and gets it!!

3. Yes she is about crawling....she will scoot forward & roll!!

4. She loves to get her picture taken!

5. She loves food time....she is happiest when it is time to eat!!

6. She loves to be the center of attention....and if she doesn't have it she will scream to let you know she wants it!!

7. She sleeps through the night and wakes up happy and ready for the day!!

8. She loves nap time...cuz she get one on one time with mommy!!

9. She loves her big sisters playing with her....she giggles the whole time!!

10. She loves to be held and cuddled with daddy especially!!

11. She has the darkest brown eyes that can get her whatever she wants....hopefully she doesn't learn this too soon!!

3. Cierra is one to wait for things...she will roll over to get something if she wants to or she just finds happiness with whatever is right around her!!

Valentines at our house started with Grandpa Steve sending Valentines in the mail! The girls love getting their mail and had fun starting out the holiday!! Then Grandma had to go out of town so, Grandma Sandy gave them their Valentines and they were in heaven!! More Valentines came in the mail too, and then the actual day came and they had some packages at the door from mom and dad!! Natalia came to sleep over, and that was a treat in itself for the girls, they love her to death!! So the love was happening all around our house!!

Brylee and Cierra ate their Valentines and loved every minute that gave them to do that!!

Made it to the Aquarium again finally!! The girls had so much fun, I forgot how nice it is to be able to go whenever!! We got our passes renewed for the year and we will be going back soon, at least till it is nice and warm outside, which we hope will be soon!!

Our January has been very fun!! First when we came home from our St. George trip we started potty training Kelsie, and she has done fantastic!!! She filled up her princess chart in no time and got to go to the store to pick out her toy!! She has been so fun with it, and now she goes all by herself and life is good!! (she loved getting non approved Jakelle treats....big incentive!!) Brylee and Cierra are almost 6 months now....they are rolling all over the floor and talking up a storm!! Jakelle is back to school and loving every minute of it!! Anyways just a little update on us so far this year!!

St. George Trip!!

So the day after Christmas we left for St. George.....the trip down was not too bad, everyone did surprisingly well!! We stayed at my Grandparents house and had a great time!! The weather was amazing...I have forgotten how nice the winters are there....I was starting to think I could actually live there again!! I did get to see a couple friends from high school and catch up which was really fun!! We also got to see most of our family that is down there!! Grandma and Grandpa spoiled us and made it a very nice vacation for us....we appreciate all they do for us!! The girls just love them do death!! We came home New years Eve to a snow storm and I am still missing the nice winter down there!!

Christmas 2010!!!

I couldn't decide on the pics so you get overloaded with them!! We had a great Christmas....Santa visited our house and came through with everything they had asked for!! Jakelle got her makeup.....and yes Kelsie did get her baby!! Brylee and Cierra were wondering what the heck we were doing but enjoyed the paper and staring at everyone!! The girls were all spoiled rotten, grandma and grandpas helped in that area...so they had a great Christmas!! Dinner was at our house and once again we got to make a turkey, and Jakelle and Kelsie still talk about the big turkeys we make for Christmas and Thanksgiving....and has asked me to make sure we do it again!! Thanks to everyone who made our day special....and hopefully next year Shay won't have to work....but at least we had him in the morning!!

SANTA!!

We finally made it to see Santa!! We went to the Fashion Place mall and the girls had no problem with him!! Brylee and Cierra just stared at him, I think they were fascinated with him!! Jakelle and Kelsie actually talked to him and smiled, so good visit with Santa this year, no cried!! Oh wait Kelsie did after the fact because Santa didn't have the baby doll for her yet!! She cried through the mall and in the car till she fell asleep saying "I want a baby doll"!! All we could do was laugh....but overall it was a great Santa trip!!

Getting ready for Christmas!! We did this Thanksgiving weekend, I am just a little behind on my posts!! But the girls were so excited and keep asking if it is Christmas every night!! Good thing there is only like 12 days left, can't believe that but it is true now!! We have been having fun though!!

Thanksgiving!!

This year Shay had to work and so we had a small group at our house!! Jakelle and Kelsie were very impressed with the turkey this year!! They talk about how huge it was and how yummy!! We had a great day playing games, eating, watching a little football, and then we finished off the day with Christmas movies!! It was a nice relaxing day!!

Halloween 2010!!!

We made it through with 4 kids well Shay was working and somehow I did it!!! Jakelle and Kelsie had a blast running from house to house getting more and more candy!!! They were just amazed that people kept giving them stuff, and Jakelle would yell "mom I can have this"!! We had a great Halloween and the babies looked just adorable in their little costumes, but I am hoping Shay will be off next year, cuz I will need some help!!

We went to our ward Halloween Party this last saturday!! Jakelle and Kelsie were so excited to finally get to wear their costumes and get their hair done!! And wow they looked soooo cute!!! I am a little prejudice though!! We had a great time at the party, they played lots of games and even got their face painted!! They didn't want to go home they were have so much fun!! We got our pumkins painted last week....and I am finally blogging about it just in time for us to carve them this week!!! The girls had so much fun, the babies were not enjoying it too much but we had a good family night!! The big girls got to paint for the babies so they enjoyed having more pumkin to paint!! Shay and I went to our first Murder Mystery Dinner Party, and it was so fun!! I wasn't so sure about it at first because I was going to have to act but it turned out great and we had fun!! It was really fun actually dressing up for Halloween again, it has been a long time since I have done that! We enjoyed the evening, the food was great, and the company as well!! We will be doing this next year for sure!!

Wheeler Farm Halloween Fun!!

Jakelle and Kelsie were so excited to finally get to go to "the pumkins" as they called it!! They had been waiting for so long (so it seemed to them), but we finally went and they had a blast!! Brylee and Cierra Blessing Day

Our beautiful little girls had a great day with lots of family that loves them surrounding them!! We are so blessed to have these two beautiful girls with us, they bring so much joy to our family!! Hard to believe but I am so thankful that we were blessed with them both at the same time!! I never thought I would have twins, but I am so thankful that my Father in Heaven knew that I needed these two together!! They are so special and we love them so much!! Jakelle's first week in Pre-school!!

She was so excited on Tuesday to finally get to go to school!! We had her outfit picked out and her backpack ready...mom was a bit nervous, but we got there and she went right in and had no problems saying bye to us!! When we picked her up the first day she was so happy and was just amazed that they gave her juice at school!! She loves going to class and loves her teacher Miss Kaley, and likes to play teacher now with Kelsie!! I am not as nervous now that the first week is over, but her teachers are very aware of her allergies and have been really careful, they call me with any questions which is very comforting!! I can't believe we have kids going to school already, my how time flies!! We are having fun though and I just love watching them grow!!

Well 2 months have gone by so quickly, the babies are all smiles and we are enjoying every sleepless minute!! Jakelle and Kelsie are great little helpers and want to smother Brylee and Cierra constantly!! Brylee and Cierra are sleeping through the night now at least like 5-6 hours average, so that is getting much better!! They had their 2 month check-up and they are doing well just a bit on the skinny side which is not surprising for our girls!! Cierra was 7lbs 14oz and 21.5 inches!! Brylee was 7lbs 12oz and 21 inches!! They are eating about 4oz every 4hrs and doing really well!! We can tell they want to laugh but it just isn't coming out yet....we get lots of baby talk though that everyone loves!! Jakelle and Kelsie love to see if they can get the babies to smile it is very cute!!!

Haircuts!!

We finally got the girls hair cut!! They look so cute!! Kelsies hair has just enough wave to scrunch it when it is wet and she looks adorable!! Jakelle looks so big with her new haircut, it fits her perfectly!! They love their new hair and they did really well while getting it cut!! I also got mine cut as well which was needed for sure (I just don't have a picture of myself)!!

Kelsie hurt her foot while playing with Jakelle, I was taking babies upstairs and from what I understand from both of the girls is that they were jumping off the couch or table not sure, but all I know is I came downstairs and Kelsie was crying and couldn't walk on her foot. This happened Monday Sept. 13 so we thought we would give it a day because it has happened before and the next day they are usually fine, but Kelsie woke up and still could not walk and by Tuesday afternoon she was walking but just on her heal, so we took her to the instacare and she had x-rays done and they checked out her foot! The doctors could not tell because she is so little and her bones are not completely grown if there was a fracture of anykind, so they sent us home with this boot so she could walk and told us to watch her for a week! She is walking great now and her foot is not bothering her, it took a few days, but she is back to her usual self running around and jumping!! She loves to tell her story of going to the doctor!!

Finally Our Twin Story!!

Well we have had little Brylee Elizabeth and Cierra Rose with us for two weeks now!! It has been a long hard road but we made it to 38 weeks exactly!! I can't tell you how many things we tried to enduce labor a little earlier (once we had the docs ok of course), but nothing was working so I had pretty much given into the idea of being induced, my appointment was on August 2 so I was just waiting for that day to come!! Well on August 1 after I had gotten the girls to bed and finally went downstairs to relax and by the time Shay had come home from work I was getting a little uncomfortable, but I had been so used to being very miserable and in some sort of pain that I just thought it was normal, it wasn't until about 2 am that Shay said we are going to the hospital, he was done listening to me say, I don't know...maybe it is!! I just didn't want to go and come home again without babies, but the pains were 6-7 minutes apart so I said ok lets see if this is it!! We got to the hospital and checked in and they decided that it was the real thing after talking to my doctor, he said he had been waiting all week for us to come in so they moved us to a delivery room and we got all set up in there for the wait!! Things went well got my epideral and from there it was smooth, I was dialated to a 6 and 90% efaced for a while and then the nurses got a call from my doctor around 6:30-7 am telling them to break my water and he would be there in 30 min., so they came in and that was done, and from there it went quick I was almost immediately a 9 and getting ready to move to the OR (they deliver all twins in the OR just for precaution)!! My doctor got there about 7:30 am and he checked me and said lets get these babies out!! Brylee was Baby A so she came first at 7:48 am, and then Cierra Baby B decided to hang out in there for a while, they had be push to try and get her head down to where the doctor could get it and finally at 8:03 am came Cierra!! Everything went very smooth with the delivery which really surprised me I was expecting it to be much harder, we are very blessed!! Well then I have to explain what happened next with me, we finished up in the OR and they moved me back to the delivery room, I was holding both babies and just couldn't believe that it was over, then once we got in the room I started to feel some sort of pain in my stomach, and by this time my mom was there with Jakelle and Kelsie, and Shanna, Evonne and Brie were there, but all I could do was tell Shay to take the babies because the pain was getting worse and I couldn't hold them, and I didn't want my other girls to see mom in pain so I was trying so hard to not let it show (but I didn't succeed to well at that I guess), and I just told my mom to take the girls out and everyone left, and the nurses came back in and my pain was getting worse so they were feeding my epideral, and giving me morphine which was suppose to kick in right away but nothing was working!! My pain just got worse and worse and my doctor came back (he never left the hospital because he said he had a feeling not to leave), and I guess Shay says he told them to give me another dose of morphine and he had the bed knocked down and he reached in and grabbed out about 2 liters of blood and blood clots from my uteris which was about 1/3 of my blood. After that the pain was pretty much gone and I think the medicine was finally kicking in, my doctor kept coming back and getting out more blood clots and they had to give me 2 units of blood because I had lost so much!! By about 5pm I was finally stable and able to move to my recovery room, I was so in and out of it all day I don't remember much other than it was the worst pain I have ever felt and I am so greatful for the priesthood and for my husband who took care of me!! And I will add that having my doctor there made all the difference in the world!! So what exactly happened was that my uteris had expanded so much for the twins so they gave me something to start making it contract back and some blood got in there and started clotting and just didn't stop and the uteris was still trying to contract with all the clots in there and it couldn't!! So I have had a slower recovery and I have high blood pressure that my doctor is still watching, but we have two beautiful baby girls that have been such a special addition to our family!! Jakelle and Kelsie adore the babies and want to help constantly!! Shay and I are like zombies but enjoying our 4 little princesses!! We are very blessed and I am so thankful for all of our family that helped make this happen, I guess it is rare to be able to take twins home after 2 days, so thank you everyone!!

Zoo time with daddy!!

Shay was great this last weekend and took the girls for a big surprise on Friday morning, they didn't know where they were going and they were so excited!! They ended up at the zoo and had a blast with daddy!! They saw tigers fighting and monkeys fighting, and said the animals were active and fun to watch!! They love being able to get out of the house and be with their daddy!! Shay also took them swimming on Saturday for the 24th, and they had so much fun, they had a great daddy/daughters weekend!!

Well since the 4th of July I was put on a kind of bed rest for a while because I started having contractions and the babies were only 34 weeks (a bit too early), so after 2 hospital visits and some shots and pills after a week the contractions stopped!! Then I was told to take it easy because the babies were a little early, so we have not done much!! It is so hard sitting around the house, I just don't understand how people do it for a long period of time!! But the girls have been so good, helping mom out and listening to other people and putting up with mom not being able to take them anywhere!! Shay has been amazing and done so much for us and the girls just love their daddy time when he is home!! Natalia came and stayed with us for a while too which really helped when I was contracting for that week, and my mom has taken care of things too!! Thanks to them the babies have now made it to 37 weeks and should be good and healthy!! Now if we could get them to come out, it seems like they just don't want to now that I am completely ready!! So we are trying whatever we can to get them to want to come!!

4th of July fun!! We went and watched some fireworks saturday night and the girls loved it!! Kelsie said "POP POP" for all the fire works it was pretty cute!! Jakelle was amazed at how huge and loud they were!!

Jakelle 4th Birthday Party!!

Jakelle had a great day, we started out by getting everything ready for her party and she was beyond excited to get all the water playing started and the fact that everything was Camp Rock made it so much better!! She helped with the cake and decorating and had a blast!! She also got her presents from mom and dad, which she finally got her guitar and Camp Rock soundtrack, so we rocked out to that the entire day!! Then in the early afternoon we got to go see Toy Story 3 with her cousins and she was in heaven and loved the movie, and couldn't wait to get home for the party!! Then the party came around and she got to play in the water and eat dinner with her cousins and friends and we played some games and just enjoyed the night!! It was a great party and thanks for everyone who helped make it happen!! I appreciate all the help! She had a great party, it was so much fun!!!

Jakelle turned 4!!!

Wow I can't believe my first baby has turned 4, time flies so fast!! She is the sweetest little girl who is already boy crazy!! She loves to be the center of attention, and just thrives on performing for people!! Jakelle has a very strong personality and loves to be in charge, which her little sister does not like so much, but Kelsie is starting to get some of that same personality so it should be a fun ride with these two!! Jakelle loves to play with her barbies, babies, and most of all anything outside (bikes,scooters, or just running around)!! She is such a blessing in our lives and she has had such a tough road already, she is a special little girl!! I can't wait to see what is next with her, she will certainly surprise us I am sure!! Jakelle got her ears pierced!!

As one of her birthday presents from mom and dad, Jakelle got her ears pierced!! She has been so excited and could not wait to have big girl earrings!! We had a girls day and went to the Mall last saturday and she got to pick out her earrings!! She was so brave, she didn't want mom to sit with her or anything, she kept saying she was fine!! I had warned her that there would be some pain involved but she just wanted the earrings!! So she was excited waiting for the girls to get her earrings in, kind of wondering what they were doing, but just waiting!! They did her ears at the same time and once they poked oh man did the face change, she had a few tears and just wanted to be left alone!! It was pretty funny, but once she saw that she had earrings life was good, and she has loved them since!! She loves looking at them in the mirror and is so proud that she has big girl earrings now!!

It is amazing that it is this time of year again!! Jakelle has grown up so much and just loves posing for the camera now!! She was so excited to get up and get ready for her recital, the best part was getting make-up on!! She is such a girly girl it isn't even funny, once she was all beautiful she was walking around just as happy as can be like a little princess!! She did really well with her dance, she had fun watching all the other girls dances too, and then playing the back with her class! She got some flowers from daddy and she was so giddy and making everyone smell her flowers, she loved it!! It was a great morning and we are so proud of her, she is a beautiful little girl!!

So I am finally braving it and putting pics of myself on here!! I don't like pics of myself to much, but thought I would finally show the difference that about 3 months has made so far with the twins!! I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks great the girls are growing just fine and are doing well, and I passed my sugar test and everything else with me looks good!! The doctor was a bit concerned because the last three appointments I have gained 8 pounds each time so that puts my total weight gain so far at 27 pounds (this is how much I gained with the other two pregnancies total)!! I guess the next few months is when the twin thing will really start to show and I will gain more and the doctor just wants it to be easier on me, so he said to just watch what I eat but to still eat enough!! So I will watch the ice cream and nachos, maybe just once or twice a week now instead of every night!! It probably hasn't helped that I eat that stuff at night when the kids go to bed because I can't eat it around Jakelle, so cutting it down will help a bit I am sure!!

Garden planted!!

Last week we finally got to plant our garden!! We are so excited to try a few different things like watermelon and some different peppers!! Hopefully they work out!! The kids had fun just digging in the dirt and playing around!! It was a nice day and nice to have done now!!

Ogden Marathon

So yesterday we went up to Ogden for Shays Marathon!!! He has been training so hard and put so much time into all of this!! He is so amazing and we are so very proud of him!! He beat his last time by I think 26 minutes so 1 minute faster each mile!! He finished in 4 hours 10 minutes!! He looked so much better after this race too, and looked like he enjoyed it more!! We are so proud of his accomplishment!! Love you Shay!! You are amazing!!

Just some pics from a week or so ago when it was actually nice!! We got a taste of nice weather and now we have been stuck inside or freezing outside, so we can't wait till we can be outside everyday!! I love it because the girls were so tired they went straight to bed at 8...it was wonderful!!

Shay's 1st Marathon!!!

So Shay was planning on just doing the Ogden marathon which was to be next month, but his friend Brett called up and said there was a spot for the Salt Lake City Marathon open if he wanted to run it!!! And Shay decided to do it, he was excited/scared and not to sure he could do it, but he was amazing and FINISHED!! I am so proud of him and for this accomplishment, it just goes to show you can do anything you put your mind to!!

We had lots of fun waiting at the finish line and the girls got so excited when they saw daddy running and Jakelle got to run to the finish line with daddy and put his medal on! Kelsie will hopefully get to do the same for the Ogden Marathon!! We are excited for the next one in May!!

Easter Bunny came to our house!!! The girls first woke up and had to find their baskets that the bunny hid!! Took them a while they were looking everywhere but that bunny hid them good, they ended up in the bathroom and found Jakelle's under the sink and Kelsie's in the bathtub, WOW were they excited!!! They both got their Princess and the Frog pillows (the big green frogs in the pics)!! The other favorite out of their basket was the lip gloss, Jakelle said " I got princess lips"!! Later on after we got ready we noticed the bunny had left eggs outside, so the girls got to have their Easter egg hunt!! We weren't sure the snow was going to clear up but it melted so they got to hunt, thank goodness!! Then we had dinner with family and hung out the rest of the night and ate way to much candy, but we had a great Easter!!

The Aquarium

Well last week when Shay was off we decided one morning to just head to see the fish and penguins!! The girls can't get enough of this place and we saw the penguins for the first time so it was pretty awesome. The penguins were so lively and kept entertaining everyone so much that Jakelle wanted to see them twice while we were there, once was not enough!! Thanks Shanna and Kehlden for coming on short notice!!

So after a week of being cooped up in the house because Jakelle and Kelsie were sick, we decided to venture out to This is the Place for an Easter event!! Wow we won't be doing that again, there were so many people and well it was freezing and the girls didn't get to hunt for eggs because they were all gone, but we tried and they liked the Easter Bunny and just getting out of the house was enough for them!! So they are excited for an Easter week!!!

Kelsie's Princess Tiana Party!!!

Kelsie has been waiting for a week to have her Tiana party and that is all she has been able to talk about and the day finally came!!! She had so much fun with everyone and got lots of fun presents!!! Thank you to everyone who came and had some fun with us!! It was a great day and she had her fairytale day!!!

Kelsie is 2!!

Our second little princess turned 2 today!! She is such a sweet little girl! She loves playing with her big sister and she is a mommy's girl for sure!! Kelsie is so patient and has a shy little personality, but she is starting to be able to hold her own against her sister!! She can't get enough Scooby Doo or princess stuff!!! We love her to pieces and she brings such a sweet spirit to our home!!! Happy Birthday Kelsie!!! We love you!!

The Leprechauns came and visited our house!! Jakelle and Kelsie didn't quite know what to think of it, but they loved it!! They turned our milk green and our potty water was green!!! They left clovers where ever they went!! It was pretty fun, next year we will be a little more prepared but they loved it!!

Painting the girls new room!!!

We will be moving the girls upstairs when the babies come, so we let them choose the color of their room!! They chose purple to go with their Princess Tiana beds!!! The other night we had a family night of painting!! They absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough of the painting!! The room looks so much better and the girls can't wait till they get their beds and can move up!! We will see how it goes when they have sleep in their new room!!! Time will tell!!

Jazz Game!!

Jakelle got to go to the game last Saturday with her daddy and she loved every second of it!!! Her favorite parts were the dancers and the bear, but she also loved to yell GO JAZZ!! She had a fun night and loved being with her daddy!!

Well thought I would post something about what we have been doing!!! We have been mainly hanging out around home still quite a bit, but I am starting to feel much better and just get a little sick at night now, so we have made it to a few places!!! We went to the Aquarium while Shay was off last week and the girls were in heaven!!! They love to see the fish and the sharks!!! It was a nice day out that they have not had in a while unfortunately!! Valentines day came and went, they girls loved it cuz of course they get TREATS!!! Life is good when you get treats!! Jakelle is still going to dance class and loving it!! She is getting so much better at not itching the entire time she is in there, so she is making friends and enjoying dancing!!! What else is just boring stuff like work and cleaning you know everyday stuff, but we are well and having fun and can't wait for the warm weather!!! Spring can't get here soon enough!!!
